The boxing program is designed to provide a fitness workout that is fun, easy to learn, and safe. The program introduces the individual to the fundamentals and techniques of boxing. The benefits are speed, upper strength, footwork and coordination, various punching techniques, and cardiovascular stamina. The program includes a daily workout five days a week. Wednesday session includes a three-mile run. Each beginner starts one-on-one with a trainer or is put in a small group of beginners performing boxing techniques and routines. Training involves the use of:
- shadow boxing
- jump rope
- focus mitts
- heavy bags
All the necessary equipment is provided. If possible bring your own boxing gloves and hand wraps.
